Female U15 & U18 AA Coaching Call

U15 AA FEMALE HEAD COACH

PARKLAND FEMALE HOCKEY

 

The Melville Minor Hockey Association (MMHA) is now accepting applications for the position of the

U15 AA Female Head Coach for the 2024/2025 season. The U15 AA team plays in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey         League within its member centers in the province.

 

MMHA is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to work with a group of young athletes to foster good sportsmanship, work ethic, and healthy competition. The candidate should have demonstrated coaching experience, knowledge of the U15 age group needs and requirements, demonstrated hockey knowledge, and ability to travel with the team when required.

 

The U15 AA Head Coach must have, or be able to achieve the following certifications:

  • High Performance 1 Certification
  • Respect in Sport
  • Checking Certification
  • Goalie Coach Certification (or Assistant Coach must have)
  • A current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
  • A valid driver’s licence

 

The roles and responsibilities of the job include:

  • Work with the MMHA Board of Directors/Tier Director and Development Director on an as needed basis to maintain development programs for U15 aged players;
  • Attend the U15 Evaluations and continue to evaluate players through an exhibition series;
  • Prepare and deliver a season plan including off ice requirements, practice plans and game line ups;
  • Select qualified assistant coaches, team manager, and other team personnel as needed;
  • Attend the U15 AA Scheduling meeting to plan the U15 AA season;
  • Attend Coach Meetings as required;
  • Develop an ongoing program that provides a consistent experience for players and parents; and
  • Liaison with other AA coaches in the Association to develop long term program development.

 

MMHA will accept applications from both independent coaches as well as parent coaches where applicable. All things being equal, independent coaches at the AA level are encouraged.
